Adding Points UI, Tweaking Controls & More Exhaust
Continuing to work away on feedback, I added in points that appear when you earn them, plus made different coloured cars worth different amounts of points using get_value() in Game Maker Studio.
Previously, I saw players drop off cars in the crusher but this wasn't worth any points, and actually the car wouldn't even be crushed before. Now a car that is dropped off will still earn a player points, albeit 80% of what they could have earned because there's less risk involved.
Reeling in cars usually isn't so obvious - now with keyboard and mouse controls, cars will reel in once you let go of the left mouse button. The right mouse button releases a car, and holding down the right mouse button acts as a brake to reeling. If you try it out, let me know if it works for you.
A downside to having keyboard and mouse support back in is that is one extra set of controls to test but there hasn't been too many huge bugs as a result.
And finally, added in more exhaust as that's something I wanted to do for a while.
